The Business & Finance Awards, in association with KPMG Ireland, celebrated a “new era of excellence” at the Dublin Convention Center on April 12, with 1,000 Irish business, political and social leaders taking part in the celebrations.
Northern Trust received the Diversity, Equality & Inclusion award at the Business & Finance Awards on April 12. Meliosa O’Caoimh accepted the award, which was presented by Eimear O’Halloran, Senior Director Client Success EMEA at Indeed.
“It means a lot to our Northern Trust teams,” said Ms O’Caoimh.
She went on to say that the award represents everything the company stands for.
Our culture is very important to us and our work around diversity, equality and inclusion is at the heart of everything we do.
“We don’t just talk, we follow the lips,” she said.
The Diversity, Equality and Inclusion Award was sponsored by Indeed.
The awards were the first to be held in person since 2019 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The evening was a huge success with several familiar faces in attendance such as former Taoiseach Enda Kenny. The Business & Finance Awards celebrated their 47th anniversary this year.
Business and finance was launched in 1964 as Ireland’s first business magazine with the awards program established a decade later. The Business & Finance Awards are Ireland’s premier business awards program and include among its previous winners outstanding leaders of our time in business, politics and society at large. This includes former United States President Bill Clinton, former British Prime Minister Sir John Major, former Irish President Mary Robinson, former United Nations Secretary General Kofi Annan, President Michael D. Higgins, l former ECB President Mario Draghi, former Taoiseach Enda Kenny, Senator George Mitchell and Sir Bob Geldof, among others.
