Shell to expand market with Northern Star for Ilocos region – Manila Bulletin

Oil major Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corporation has partnered with Northern Star Energy Corp., a thriving fuel solutions company in northern Luzon, to expand its mobility stations and strengthen its market presence in the Luzon region. Ilocos as well as in neighboring provinces.

Under the plan, Shell would “transform existing Northern Star sites in the region into Shell-branded Mobility stations”. The partnership would add “no less than 100 sites to Pilipinas Shell’s national portfolio over the expected life of the agreement.”

Randy del Valle, Vice President of Mobility for Pilipinas Shell, said, “This partnership will allow us to reach more customers and communities in La Union, Ilocos Sur, Ilocos Norte, Abra and Mountain Province, in line with our commitment to serve the growing and changing energy needs of every automotive and pedestrian customer.”

Shell said its transforming mobility stations are not only designed as refueling sites, but are also molded as “destinations” and aim to promote “better customer journey experiences with an expanded range of products, full vehicle servicing, and even retail/lifestyle and food offerings targeted to each local market.

Del Valle added that the company’s partnership with Northern Star will accelerate Shell’s development of its retail network, which the company has repackaged into mobility stations.

“This investment is an important step in accelerating Pilipinas Shell’s growth ambition from 1,300 to 1,400 sites by 2025,” he said, adding that the North Luzon regional market covering La Union, Ilocos Sur, Ilocos Norte, Abra and Mountain Province had always been one. of the largest transport zones in the country.

“The partnership is expected to significantly increase fuel and non-fuel revenue for Pilipinas Shell. It also allows us to offer more employment opportunities to local communities in these areas,” enthused the leader of the oil company.

Pilipinas Shell had spent up to 20 billion pesos on the organic growth of its mobility stations over a five-year period.

Regarding its new tie-up with Northern Star, Pilipinas Shell clarified that the two parties “will work together for the seamless integration of operational practices in accordance with Shell standards”.
