Northern Trust and Enfusion aim to simplify operating infrastructure for joint customers
CHICAGO–(BUSINESS WIRE)–#asset Management–As part of its ongoing strategy to meet client needs throughout the investment lifecycle, Northern Trust (Nasdaq: NTRS) has established a relationship with Enfusion, Inc. (“Enfusion”) (NYSE : ENFN), a leading provider of cloud-native investment management software and services, to provide portfolio management, order and execution management system (OEMS) and analytical capabilities to common customers.
Through this collaboration, Enfusion and Northern Trust offer asset managers, hedge funds and owners of internally managed assets a fully integrated, end-to-end solution that can streamline workflows while leveraging the strengths of each business.
Enfusion’s innovative software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform, which has been running natively in the cloud since its inception in 2006, provides portfolio management, trade execution, order management and risk management from a single platform, removing key operational and technical hurdles faced by asset managers and hedge funds. The software components operate from a single, unified data set, synchronizing the investment and accounting books (IBOR and ABOR) throughout the trading day, so the front, middle and back office all have access to the same information.
“Institutional investors are looking for holistic solutions that combine ease of use with the best options,” said Marc Mallett, global head of global office strategy at Northern Trust. “By integrating Northern Trust’s suite of services with the Enfusion platform, we can meet the growing demand for end-to-end orchestrated ecosystems across the entire investment lifecycle.
This alliance will enable mutually supported interfaces between the Enfusion platform and Northern Trust’s leading asset management platforms, accelerating implementations, improving access to data and ultimately increasing the operational efficiency. Customers will also benefit from the expertise of both companies’ dedicated service teams.
“Platforms like Enfusion and service providers like Northern Trust play a critical role in our customers’ operational infrastructures,” said Thomas Kim, CEO of Enfusion. “By building on each other’s strengths and creating a seamless workflow, our joint customers will be able to more quickly and fully realize the business benefits of both organizations.”
Building on the alliance, Enfusion has co-developed a certified and mutually supported interface with Northern Trust Equity partner Data Science, Inc. (EDS), which is used by several joint customers. EDS offers a cloud-based platform that provides applications and decision support tools to asset managers and hedge funds throughout the investment lifecycle, including idea generation, research management (RMS), portfolio construction, risk management and performance attribution.
