Outsource, a rapidly growing IT security and services company in Northern Ireland, is to merge with Belfast-based IT security consultancy ANSEC IA.
The deal will see ANSEC IA become part of the rapidly expanding Outsource Group, which already has offices in Antrim, Belfast, Cookstown, Dublin and Edinburgh.
Outsource Group chief executive Terry Moore says the merger creates “a powerhouse” in security-focused managed IT services, with plans to grow the workforce to more than 100 by the end of this year.
Based in Antrim, the Outsource Group has been in business since 2000 and offers a wide range of services and technology support. Last year he was named by Dell as a “rising star” of 2021.
Founded in 2007 by Peter Leitch and Philip Sloan, ANSEC IA was recently named by Invest NI as one of the Northern cybersecurity companies to watch.
Terry Moore said his company is among the fastest growing managed IT services companies in the North.
“One of the areas where we are seeing the fastest growing demand and where we see the greatest opportunity for growth is cybersecurity,” he said.
“Our merger with ANSEC IA and the exceptional security skills and expertise they bring will allow us to accelerate this growth and offer a truly market-leading suite of cybersecurity services and solutions.
ANSEC IA Managing Partner, Peter Leitch, said: “For the past 15 years, we have focused exclusively on improving the security of businesses and public sector services in NI, Ireland, in Britain and internationally.
“Working with Outsource, it became apparent to us very quickly that they also understand why information security needs to be the backbone of everything in IT,” he said.
“They understand that security isn’t just about IT or a product line; it must be at the heart of every organization and inherent in every business process.
“We believe that ANSEC IA complements and adds tremendous value to the OS Group and will help take the OS Group to the next level in terms of offering world-class, enterprise-level, security-focused services to a wider range of customers across the UK and Ireland.”
