READY to give a saved puppy a forever home? There are hundreds of unwanted dogs looking for a new owner in Berkshire.
We have found some absolute beauties who are ready to be your best friend.
Here are 16 dogs from the Windsor Battersea Dogs and Cats Home branch looking for a home.

Coral and TJ
TJ and Coral the Greyhounds met and fell in love at Battersea Old Windsor. They have a great bond and are looking for a new home together.
Although they are different characters, they complement each other well – one thing that unites them is their love for a run in the garden and then a long nap on their beds, but Coral is definitely the boss!
TJ is a happy dog and loves to lean on his legs for fun. Coral is a very laid back and gentle dog, although he can speed up quite quickly when he feels aroused. They love to play with toys – TJ loves chasing a tennis ball and Coral loves tossing fluffy toys. Coral’s stable nature really helped TJ settle in and enjoy life at home.
They were trained at home, sleep together and travel well by car.
Ricki the Lurcher is a lively and active dog. When he meets new people for the first time he may be restless and a little worried, but when he gets to know you his affectionate and scattering side shines through.
Ricki has been very scared of men at the moment and therefore seeks to live in a house with female owners.
Ricki finds it very exciting to see other dogs on walks and can get vocal and pull towards them.
He trains quickly and will need additional guidance at home.
This Staffordshire Bull Terrier needs owners who are confident to guide him with other dogs and who are able to help Rocco become a little less socially awkward with his canine friends.
Rocco loves people and has a good butt that moves when he greets. He also loves dozing on the couch with his own along with his favorite humans.
This handsome French Bulldog is a sensitive boy who doesn’t like to be picked up but he loves his toys.
He also likes to carry his blanket or plush as a small quilt which is very adorable.
Maxwell is not always comfortable with other dogs and should live in a house without other dogs.
He will need an owner who is experienced in handling similar behaviors, which will include specific continuing education and management at vets as he will need to wear a muzzle.
Kenny the Lurcher loves his hugs, sits extremely well in Battersea’s desks on a plush, plush bed – and curls up dozing like a cat most of the day!
Kenny will walk very well most of the time, but he still shows a very strong interest in hunting wild animals and cats, so he will need new owners prepared for a dog that can pull hard and suddenly when he spots something. that he wants to hunt.
This adorable border collie loves tennis balls and could play with you all day if you get the chance, but he must remember that he is getting older and his legs are not the same as when he was young.
He is looking for an adult home in a rural area where he can have his own private garden to tinker with, he may be intolerant of other dogs, but if you show him a tennis ball everything is forgotten.
Marley still has a passion for life and will make a fun companion for anyone who loves the Collie who will respect his age as well.
This sweet little bastard has a fun and lively character who needs experienced and confident owners to continue her training and bring out the best in her.
Penny enjoys being with people she knows and enjoys playing with toys. With people she is unsure of, both out for a walk and at home, Penny can be reactive and this needs to be handled with care.
She responds well to the training set up in Battersea.
This cute Patterdale Terrier has three legs, but that doesn’t stop him from scurrying through our fields and paddocks at full throttle.
She doesn’t like to be left alone, so the Battersea team are looking for owners who will be there most of the time and who can help Millie try to become more comfortable and settled when she is gone.
She has also shown anxiety-related behaviors such as jumping and yelling, so we are looking for a home that has successfully dealt with this type of behavior in the past.
This gorgeous Rottweiler Shepherd Cross loves new people and is very friendly and laughs with everyone he has met.
Koda also loves to play with toys and is just a big puppy who would play and run all day if he could!
He has a great personality and has definitely become a staff favorite, providing some of the best hugs. He is looking for a house with a garden where he has his own space to spend his energy and continue his training.
This adorable Chihuahua has a lot of energy but needs a bit of confidence in all areas to help him come out of his shell and thrive.
Bambi needs time to bond with new people, being quite suspicious at first, but once she befriends you her silly, giggling side comes out and she will come and make a fuss.
Due to his mountain of worries, Bambi would not be suitable to live with another dog or children.
Rex the Jack Russell Terrier is a lovable boy who is looking for a quiet home where he can relax.
New people will have to gain his trust first, although here he has already made a lot of progress.
This gorgeous fluffy dog is a Pomeranian cross poodle. Battersea staff shouldn’t be content with their looks as they have shown difficult behaviors and therefore seek experienced dog owners.
He’s a nervous little boy who takes a long time to bond with people, who needs space and patience to come out of his shell at his own pace. However, once you’re in his circle of friends, he’s a loving, loving little boy who loves nothing more than kissing you!
This charming little Miniature Schnauzer is very scared and avoids people and interactions.
Winnie doesn’t want to approach people or be approached. She finds her self-confidence when surrounded by polite and respectful engaging dogs.
Winnie will need to find a home with one or more existing quiet dogs that can help her find her feet. This is essential for its continued development and will give it some comfort in its new environment.
Battersea staff say it will be a long project and Winnie will be rewarding her owners in small steps rather than leaps and bounds. She is therefore looking for owners who will have the patience to allow her to settle at her own pace.
This adorable greyhound gets along with humans as well as dogs.
He may be able to live with another dog of the same nature as him.
Owners will need to have a good understanding of the Sighthound breed, including traits and behaviors such as their hunting conduct.
Another magnificent greyhound is ready to be welcomed in Battersea.
She is looking for a new home with owners who have some experience with dog ownership. Knowledge of Greyhound traits would be a huge advantage.
She could potentially live with another dog of similar size and temperament, pending successful introductions to Old Windsor.
Calley will need some basic training which will include in-house training. She will need a patient approach to allow her to get used to the new surroundings and all the sights and sounds associated with living at home.
Finally, Finley the Staffordshire Bull Terrier is looking for his forever home.
This dog really stands out for his demeanor and other quirks, lovers of bull breeds will truly appreciate his seemingly limitless energy and he will need ongoing training and management to help him present himself a little more. well with other dogs as it can be. too much for some, which means he was reprimanded.
Finley can be speechless but is quite gentle with it and reacts to a firm but fair approach, he likes to try and pick up items that maybe not as appropriate as one would like and would benefit from a job. continuous exchange and training as well as outings and toys appropriate for his energy.
He can settle down well with chews and a calm approach around him, new owners would really benefit from the experience and expectations of the bull breed.
